This might be my favorite street in all of Birmingham. I love cobblestones, street lamps, and textured walls. This skirt is a great quality vegan leather and the perfect red for fall. I also can't stop wearing these boots... I hear they might be coming out in pink in a few weeks.

These Free People boots are so good. 

I want to expand on this soon but I feel like I need to share some words of encouragement. It's easy to get caught up in the world, especially now since we have social media. It's easy to feel inadequate or not good enough..like we don't have enough. We feel that everyone else knows something that we don't and we start to doubt ourselves. Don't be afraid to follow your heart, to get on the path to fulfill your dreams, to love someone else...

Comparison is the thief of joy.

This Ann Demeulemeester top is one of my favorites. I have a thing for dramatic sleeves and cuffs. Ann is one of my favorite designers and I hate that she is no longer designing for her house anymore.

I pulled this amazing 2 piece from Anthropologie out from the depths of my closet. I bought it a few years ago after seeing it in one of their catalogs. I had forgotten how much I loved it and how perfect it is for summer. 

I'm wearing a blouse from YSL's A/W 2009 collection. Again, Yves and the house of YSL will forever be my true love. I love the plunging neckline. It is a perfect crisp white shirt that is sexy without trying too hard. 

I found this Saks Fifth Avenue 'Young Dimensions' skirt from the 1970s at a local thrift store about a year ago. I was recently looking at YSL's Russian collection and I remembered that I had this skirt tucked away in my vintage closet. I also love off the shoulder tops paired with big earrings. 

She told us about Bolinas, that we might find Bob Dylan sitting at the bar. We followed the windy roads up and down Highway 1. Mineral baths and gold mines. Geodesic homes and David Bowie on the radio. The air was lighter that it had ever been. How things started to make sense in the moment. Vacancy... no vacancy the neon lights burn in my mind. How the redwoods smell like gin and tonic. Riding a horse named Eleanor through the wine country. Having dinner with strangers who build robots and teach yoga. Waking up to the sun and Tom Petty. Petrified trees and Robert Louis Stevenson. That one place where the sparrows cross. Hearing the crash of the Pacific against the coast. I filled my pockets with tiny shells. Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time and feeling so small. The fog wrapped us in its path. Modigliani and Picasso cover the walls and down the hall their neighbors are speaking about what life was like in the 1970s. I see their faces but I can't hear their words. We sit and watch sail boats on the blue waters of Sausalito. Next thing we are watching the clouds.
