This weekend I spent some time exploring my city like a tourist. Because of traveling and work I haven't had an off weekend in my city since August so I was really looking forward to it. I browsed record stores, ate at new restaurants, finally had a cocktail at a bar I had been wanting to go to, and spent time relaxing.

I started out the weekend listening to records and ended it with a cold in bed watching Before Sunrise & Before Sunset.

Today I'm wearing a leather jacket from the markets of Florence, Sweater Dress from Urban Outfitters (here), & Acne Studios Star Boots (here).

Recently I've been challenging myself to see my closet with fresh eyes. Too often I fell frustrated when I look in my closet. This skirt is a gem that I found... I purchased it at a vintage store in New Orleans a few years ago and I love it more now than when I first bought it. I love the contrast with my simple jersey t-shirt & heels. These Zara heels are some of my favorite shoes ever.

I wanted to share some photos from my recent trip to London. No matter how many times I go to London it will always be my favorite city, my first love. I think having a plane ticket to London is one of my favorite feelings. Actually, having a plane ticket in general is one of my favorite feelings. The promise of adventure, new faces, new experiences, etc. I don't think that feeling will ever go away… even though sometimes in the customs or security line I really question myself. I love wandering through the terminals and seeing where everyone is going trying to guess why. When I go to London I feel like I'm going home. There is no pressure to see anything, I'm free to wander as I like going back to old favorites and making new memories. Do you have a place that feels like this to you?

I'm back! I haven't posted in a while because I've been in England & Scotland and then I came back to a busy (but very exciting) week at work. I'm happy to be back and I have a lot of photos and inspiration to share.
